Beside our DACH representative Andreas Wittwer, we are pleased to welcome our new British representative Stephen Taylor to the TherMidas Team. Stephen represented us already at the recent Technology Innovations for Healthcare conference held at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Scotland on March 12th.
The event was co-organised by CENSIS, Scottish Health Innovations Ltd, NHS Forth Valley, and The Digital Health & Care Institute (DHI). Despite the current COVID-19 situation, some 150 delegates attended and the keynote speakers included Jonathan Cameron, Deputy Director – Digital Health and Care at The Scottish Government; and Professor George Crooks OBE, The Chief Executive of the Digital Health and Care Institute, Scotland’s national innovation centre for digital health and care.
The purpose of the event was to explore technology innovations, challenges, and opportunities for healthcare across the NHS in Scotland. Stephen’s presentation on how TherMidas infrared (IR) thermography technology can aid clinicians in the screening, early diagnosis, and evaluation of treatment effectiveness in diabetic foot conditions, was very well received.
There is a clear rise in interest in North America, too. Even though EPI Compliance and Healthcare Innovation Conference in Florida is postponed from the end of April and we are forced to revisit our plans, we are working hard to penetrate the North American health care market. We look forward to sharing news regarding this development shortly!
