Tappara’s goalkeeper Vilho Heikkinen injured his left knee ligament in the game. The rehabilitation of the knee, which was operated in the end of February, continues actively, and we visited the UKK Institute to take thermal images in while Heikkinen performed various strength and mobility tests.
At the same time, our strong commitment to monitoring the rehabilitation of sports injuries continues. The Ilves U18 team uses thermal imaging throughout the ongoing season and we also supplied the IRT-384 system to Varala Sports Academy.
We expect the research that has started in cooperation with Ilves and Medisport to provide useful information on the treatment of various sports injuries using thermal imaging.
