Elina Kivioja has extensive experience in international business. Prior to her roles in energy, she held management positions in various international companies. Before assuming the role of Advisor of Thermidas, Elina spent 11 years at Vattenfall Finland, with 7 of those years as the CEO.
With a Master’s degree in economics and a wealth of diverse international Commercial leadership experiences, Elina Kivioja brings a dynamic and passionate approach to every endeavor, emphasizing sustainable development and growth. During her tenure at Vattenfall, the company played a leading role in the green transition, securing a 2-billion-euro offshore wind farm investment in Finland. Vattenfall also earned the distinction of being the most trusted brand in the Finnish energy industry for five consecutive years. The company’s turnover increased from 450 million euros to 1600 million euros between 2018 and 2022.
In addition, Elina serves on various boards of directors in edutec and deeptech. Her leadership extends beyond corporate boundaries, influencing in international conferences, engaging with diverse stakeholders.
