Clinical thermal imaging from Finland

Thermidas Oy is a health technology company in Tampere. We design and manufacture infrared thermal imaging systems that help healthcare professionals see temperature differences on the skin surface, in care homes, hospitals and clinics: for diabetic foot care, pressure injuries, vascular and wound care, joints and prosthetics.

One method, developed for clinical use

Thermidas was founded in 2008 to bring infrared thermal imaging into everyday clinical work. From the start, the company has invested in research and product development together with Finnish universities and university hospitals.

Our systems show the temperature distribution of the skin surface as an image. Clinicians use it to spot and follow differences between sides and over time, for example in a diabetic foot, over a pressure area or after an injury. Thermal imaging supports assessment and monitoring; findings are always interpreted by a healthcare professional.

Today the IRT-384 Tablet and its VistaClinic software are in use in Finnish university hospitals, care homes and private clinics.
